Newnewnew

Well since my laptop went kaput a few weeks back I've been pretty quiet of late due to using mums crappy under powered laptop and it making me frightened of the internet.

But here is what's happening.

I quit pub work about 3 weeks ago. Since then its been great. I had lots of time to myself and to look proper job hunt for my impending departure from work completely.
Having applied for many jobs and not heard back anything I got really worried, especially as my last date for full time employment was close.
Then about 2 weeks ago I had a handful of interviews.
Its funny how something's work out. I got rejected by vodafone, whose interview process sucks balls. Didn't even get to interviews for Gala Bingo or toppstiles customer service jobs. I did go for interviews at Mars, RBS and a young and fast growing solar panel company.
The solar panel company invited me to a second interview, which has been postponed till next week. Mars offered me a job the next day with an immediate start although for just 3 months. And RBS offered me a position yesterday with immediate start.
So I started working at Mars last week. I'm hoping to charm the socks off this second interview as I really want the job offered. And had to turn down a permanent role at RBS. I just hope that decision doesn't come back to haunt me.

As soon as I started work I immediately started house hunting. On Tuesday I viewed a nice post grad kinda place. It was nice but not something I'd be happy in. The next day I visited two places in West Bridgford. Both scared me. I'm pretty sure the first place I went in to had blood on one of the mattresses. Ew. Gross.
But West Bridgford is normally a lovely place with posh restaurant bars, cute cafes and people who jog even after the Sun goes down. And its within walking distance of Notts city centre, should you lose your wallet.
I viewed another room in Notts which had a huge massive and I mean ridiculous size room that was gorgeously decorated and a second room in a quirky loft that had a sky light. The rest of the house was nice but never met the housemates and I really wanted to be in West Bridgford.
There was a third house I viewed in West Bridgford, on a lovely quiet road in a beautiful house with gorgeous and friendly house mates (who incidentally own a N64 which sweetened the deal). But after viewing the house and saying I'd call the owner back I realised I didn't have his phone number. Luckily he got my email, called, I went back for one more view and to see second house mate and now have a gorgeous place to live in and move in on 13th.

All is working out for me!

Fingers crossed for Tuesday and second interview.

Creature comforts

Since moving from Spain there have been a few things that I miss about that place.

First and most importantly is their phenomenal tapas. Nothing is as good as a proper Spanish tapas, especially from El Pulguilla, Nerja.

Second are insects. There were so many awesome insects and small creatures in Spain. Flying lotus, especially the one that freaked out @pinkjellybaby, mini lizards, cicada (I do miss their buzz). In England we get boring spiders and butterflies in the house. And that's it.

Bor-ring!

Cowabunga

Which one of the teenage turtles were dyslexic?

Which ever one it was, sure they were driving the car in front
