Blackpool Rocks!

So on Friday I went to Blackpool for a day and night out. Unfortunately both Friday and Saturday the Tower was closed due to strong winds so a lot of my photos are OF the Tower.

I did go on a ferris wheel though :-)

I also had a fun night out in Blackpool. And what can I say about Blackpools night life? I found it very interesting. There were many hen/stag parties there for a start. LOTS of old people, like nan age. They must of been going to Blackpool for over half their lives for holidays and continue to do so. It's very strange vibe in some bars.

Although there were some highlights, like playing crazy golf on my own and writing at the bottom of the score card under 'winner'; "not me," the cute deaf girl that I was too scared to approach and the random hen party that kept taking photographs of me. I'm just waiting for my facebook friend request so I can see how these photos turned out.

But if you've never been to Blackpool before it's worth a visit. There is plenty to do. And even more to make you cringe. But you'll come back with a few stories and wanting to go back....especially if the Tower is closed.

I will be back Blackpool!

There's nature in those hills

There's so much more nature around here. I love it.

I have a new flat mate. I'm sure in a few months I'll have a few extra and will continually be woken by hungry baby birds

And I often find myself in cow jams.

You don't get this in Runcorn.

Call the ....... coast guard?

I spotted this article on the front page of the local paper.

Who should you call in this case; the police or the coast guard?

A Tale of the Rich and the Poor

So I've not really been in to Nottingham since moving here. I'm not too sure why that is, especially since I "have car, will travel."

I was just rummaging around on Google Maps for nice parks, galleries, places to visit when I spotted The Tales of Robin Hood.

This sounded like just the place I should visit. Nottingham. Robin Hood. It goes without thinking.

It turns out though that Robin Hood, and his "Tales of," was robbed by the rich to give to the richer.

At least there is a nice park.

Anyone been to or live in Nottingham. Any good ideas for places to visit for day's out or early evening drinks?

Where have I been?

You've probably been wondering where I have been these last few days?

Well wonder no more, I've been here...

Original video is here http://screenr.com/Xbp

Any questions?

*Note I have never been to Granby, despite my phone thinking it's there half the time. I presume that's where the nearest phone mast is. I might take a trip there later today.

facebook. 28 days later edition.

I've recently been trying to get away from facebook. Not because of all this talk of privacy issues. But mainly because I leave it on in the background too much.

I work from home, so the only interaction I have at "work" are via Twitter/facebook status updates.

But like I say, I've recently been trying to curb my facebook usage. I've gone as far as to remove it from my speed dial. It's now no longer a simple click away, I have to manually type in the address, which gives me a few seconds to tell myself "no."

But there has been lots and lots of talk lately about facebooks privacy issues, lots of people no wanting out. "delete facebook account" is now in google's Top 10 of Hot Trends.

I'm getting a eerie feeling that when I do ultimately return to facebook it's going to be one empty place with nothing but tumble weeds, a few die hard fans still creating "1,000,000 people join this group Zac will join" groups and me.
